Little Mix made an almighty splash at the top of the year when ‘Sweet Melody’ became their fifth #1 on the Official UK Singles Chart and their first #1 in five years.

True to its “slow and steady wins the race” trajectory, the song – which was released back in October – has crossed another major milestone.

Full story below…

In sitting at #7 on this week’s chart, ‘Melody’ extends its spell in the top 10 to 13 weeks.

It means the MNEK produced jam extends its reign as the group’s longest-running top 10 single in the UK.

The song’s continued success is no doubt bittersweet for fans, who waved goodbye to member Jesy Nelson after she announced her departure from Little Mix in December.

It also comes as remaining members Jade Thirwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock prepare to release all-new music as a trio. Music they say is coming very soon.

Pending its arrival, hit (re)play on this bodacious bop below…
