See what we mean inside:
Just days after announcing Ariana’s latest era, ‘Positions,’ had seen the certification status of its album and singles upgraded (click here for more details), the RIAA announced Monday (April 12) that ‘Side to Side’ led a slew of new updates from the diva’s most critically acclaimed era to date – ‘Dangerous Woman.’
Beyond ‘Side’ being advanced to 6x Platinum (meaning it’s sold the equivalence of 6 million units in the United States alone), look below to see the new shiny plaques set to line Ari’s wall.
- ‘Dangerous Woman’ (Single)
- ‘Into You’ (Single)
- ‘Focus’ (Single)
- ‘Dangerous Woman’ (Album)
- ‘Be Alright’ (Single)
- ‘Let Me Love You (featuring Lil Wayne)’ (Single)
With the updates above, ‘Side’ ties Grande’s previously 6x Platinum-certified hit, ‘Problem,’ to become her second-highest RIAA certified hit to date. As we reported here, only the 8x Platinum-certified ‘Bang Bang’ (alongside Nicki Minaj and Jessie J) ranks higher.
The collective sales updates bring the GRAMMY winner’s cumulative career total to 63.5 million in the United States – a sum that puts her in 5th place in the RIAA’s history books among female digital sellers.
As of time reported, only Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga have sold more in the same territory.
