As far as singles, it serves as her fifth Platinum plaque.
Reacting to the news, the 4-time GRAMMY-winner said:

With or without a Top 40 hit, there is a demand for her style of music.
H.E.R doesn’t seem interested in reaching the Top 40 based on her current single choices. The latest single doesn’t sound like a crossover hit either. However she seems confident in her fanbase. Personally I was hoping for a more upbeat track with Chris Brown for the summer but I still enjoy her latest single.

No DJ Khaled is desperate chile. H.E.R’s Damaged did numbers without a collab. And she has worked with Chris Brown before. Now when or if she goes full thot, we can say desperate.
It almost sounds like she thinks she’s carrying the genre. I like “Damage”, but there have been some great r&b songs and albums in recent months that didn’t get all the pushing and fanfare because of politics. Instead of celebrating music for what it is, tptb stick to the agenda. When r&b was truly alive, artists like Tamia, Mariah, Whitney, Faith, Deborah, Usher, Kenny Lattimore, Tevin, Eric Benet, etc. were celebrated collectively.
Agree! I said this in another thread. There is demand for traditional R&B. Many NEW & established artists have been dropping traditional R&B songs for awhile now. But many where too busy complaining about all the mumble rappers to even notice.
She’s so pretentious with her purchased awards and accolades. Not a fan of her or those monotone vocals next!!!
