As we reported here, ‘Levitating’ – a sleeper hit that initially missed the Hot 100 all together upon its official August 2020 release – made headlines last week when it tied the all-time record for longest run in the tally’s top 10 by a female leader.
A mainstay in the chart region since January, the DaBaby-assisted tune is found at #6 on this week’s refreshed edition of the Hot 100. As a result, its bests the previous recordholder – LeAnn Rimes‘ ‘How Do I Live’ – to become the longest-running, female-led top 10 hit in the chart’s 63-year history.
