Aptly christened ABOUT LOVE, the promotional push will see the iconic couple do more than pose it up in the jewels.
For, a core component of the pact will see The Carters pledge $2 Million to historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Together with Tiffany’s, the stars – by way of their charities BeyGOOD and the Shawn Carter Foundation – will donate the seismic sum to benefit five small universities.
They are: Lincoln University in Pennsylvania; Norfolk State University in Virginia; Bennett College in North Carolina; the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Arkansas; and Central State University in Ohio.
Students looking to benefit from the fund must be pursuing degrees in creative fields like media, performance, visual arts, and design. There are also provisions for those studying history and communications.

I appreciate that the Carters always seem to have HBCUs on their watch list. Especially happy that they chose institutions that are not a “household” name in the mainstream. These schools and their students need support, too…

They Were donating whether she wore the necklace or not. She privately and openly donates all the time so why would backlash be a reason to donate?
