Alexandra Burke is heading back to the dancefloor with her brand new project.

The star, who rose to global prominence after being crowned the winner of The X Factor UK in 2008 – went on to rock the charts with hits such as ‘Bad Boys,’ ‘All Night,’ and ‘Start Without You.’
She’s also carved out a diverse career that has encompassed theater, TV, and more.
Now, though, she’s re-affixing the focus on the music.
And while her last outing, 2018’s ‘The Truth Is,’ was a ballad-led affair, Burke is baking uptempo bops for her return.

Speaking on the incoming material, the 33-year-old said:
“Everything I’m recording right now is so upbeat, fun and care-free. I’m in a wonderful place emotionally at the moment and the studio days are so much fun.”
According to a new report, Burke has been working with Dot Inc and Parx and has ample label buzz.

How reductive to compare two black women who came from the X Factor. You don’t have to drag one to elevate the other. Alexandra is a far more diverse and charismatic performer who can tackle both uptempo and ballads with ease. They have a completely different tone to their voice. The fact that Leona had one worldwide hit demonstrates just that, it says nothing about her talent, performance ability or staying power.
So yeah, do better with your very lazy comparisons…
