Ciara is growing her empire exponentially.
For, fresh from making a splash in the fashion sphere with LITA by Ciara, the superstar singer has announced her newest business venture: becoming the co-owner of Ten To One rum.

It’s been revealed that CiCi has become both an investor and co-owner of the rising brand alongside its founder and CEO Marc Farrell.
Hailing from Trinidad, Farrell notably served as one of the youngest Vice Presidents of Starbucks.
The name of the brand borrows from a quote given by Dr. Eric Williams, Trinidad and Tobago’s first Prime Minister when discussing the first Caribbean federation of 10 countries: He said “One from ten leaves zero” – relaying the notion that we are stronger together than apart.
Speaking on the venture with Farrell (who she met through family and friends), the performer said:
“When I get a chance to do things and projects like this, I’m pretty involved. I look a step before the actual product to work with really great business partners. For me all the boxes were checked. This is a space that not too many women occupy, and I saw a tremendous opportunity as an entrepreneur, and as a woman of color.”
Ciara’s role will see her hone in on marketing, creative and business development, as well as savvy strategic partnerships:
“Whenever Marc talks about how the rum is created and the origin of it, it makes you want to taste it. I look forward to learning more and educating others along the way about the beauty of rum, and to inspire people to reimagine rum from what they’ve known it to be years ago.”
Farrell added:
“It’s so dope to have a partner like Ciara. When you start on a journey to create a brand, and bring a vision to life, there are core values you want the consumer to appreciate, and you’re trying to tell that story. It’s as much about the soul of the Caribbean, it’s optimism, spontaneity and joie de vivre, but also about reimagining and challenging the status quo. This is the beginning of a new chapter to take it to another level … We’re taking pieces of the story and bringing it to a whole new audience.”
