Little Mix Announce Hiatus

Published: Thursday 2nd Dec 2021 by Sam

Little Mix has announced that, after ten years together, they are set to go on a hiatus.

Full story below…

In an impassioned open letter to their fans, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards, revealed that they will be exploring solo ventures following their ‘Confetti Tour’ in 2022.

The full letter read:

“We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.
It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects.
We can’t thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much.
We are not splitting up – Little Mix are here to stay 💫 We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more.

We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever ♥️

See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie x”

The news comes a day after member Leigh-Anne hinted at solo ventures in an EXCLUSIVE interview with That Grape Juice.

Currently in the thick of promotion for their greatest hits compilation ‘Between Us,’ the ladies have also been busy mapping out their next individual chapters.

Leigh-Anne stars in  Warner Bros‘ rom-com ‘Boxing Day’ (due December 3) and will be hosting the MOBO Awards 2022 on December 5.

Jade has signed with major management entity Full Stop and is reportedly on the cusp of inking a solo deal with Atlantic Records. While Perrie has launched a clothing brand Disora.

The hiatus news comes during an action-packed year for the group. After original member Jesy Nelson departed in December 2020, the remaining trio opened 2021 atop of the charts with ‘Sweet Melody’ and went on to enjoy a string of hits such as ‘Confetti (ft. Saweetie),’ ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ with David Guetta and Galantis, and Anne-Marie collaboration ‘Kiss My (Uh Oh).’

None of them will have a Havana moment. Havana was a global hit. Little Mix couldn’t even score a global hit during 10 years together. That is not going to change if they go solo.

Where are the people who said there would be no hiatus and there was going to be a new chapter of LM3? I do get tired of being right.

    • Agentm December 2, 2021

You are behind they had lm 5 if you’re going post know what you’re talking about.

      • truthteller December 2, 2021

I wasn’t talking about album names. When Jesy left, their fans were saying (including on this blog) that it was a new chapter for the group and they were going to continue for a long time as a trio. The Mixers dubbed it LM3 similar to Destiny’s Child.as a trio. Don’t be mad just because your faves are going on a “hiatus”.

    Sooooo

I know for sure DC3 went on hiatus before the destiny fulfilled album… if they actually do one or 2 solo albums and then come back together… they’ll be amazing when they return. Keep it up.

Damn, I only started listening to their music last year with Confetti
