Now, after early murmurs, it’s been confirmed that Mariah Carey and Brandy have indeed teamed up for a collaboration.

As reported here on That Grape Juice, a duet between the pair was teased by Mimi.
Today, she revealed that they made it happen.
An excerpt from Carey’s new feature in Harper’s Bazaar read:
“Recently, she and Brandy invited each other into the vocal booth for an as-yet-undisclosed collaboration. (“She was like, ‘Mariah, I love you. I want to do this with you. Can we please do it?’ And I was like, ‘Please? Can we please do it? I’m asking you.’”) Working together like that, says Mariah, is an insight into the multitudes a single artist can hold. “The people have no idea,” says Mariah. “She’s a mother. She’s doing this and that. She is doing it all.”
Suffice to say, we can’t wait to hear it!
Both ladies are arguably two of the most pronounced examples of vocal excellence in the contemporary climate. As such, the thought alone of them on the same track gives us the shivers for all the right reasons.

The only duets that are halfway memorable are Kelly Rowland and Fantasia, but that wasn’t a vocal powerhouse song “Without Me”….and Monica and Keyshia Cole on Trust. (terrible live performances smh)
