Speaking to Billboard in commemoration of her 2022 Women in Music Powerhouse award, the ‘Woman’ performer heaped praise on her idols – including Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, and the Queen of Pop Janet Jackson.
She said of the titans:
“It’s pretty obvious that I’m in love with everything Nicki Minaj has put out into the world. You have your Janets and your Beyoncés. I look at [other artists’] projects and performances and go, “Wow, I hope one day I get to that point.”
We’d actually love to see Doja team up with all of the ladies mentioned. Imagine the fire each of those collabs would bring?!

The other women mentioned alongside Nicki laid the ground work for Doja Cat. She has something to work w/ while creating her records. However instead of Doja perfecting her craft like Tinashe, she chose microwave success.
Cardi B hasn’t brought anything NEW into Hip-Hop. We always had ratchet female rappers making records about their a$$ & fighting hos. Those type of female rappers are short lived. There is also the lack of notoriety like a Missy Elliot.
She spent the last 15 seconds of “get into it” kissing Nicki’s assss. Just for Nicki to unfollow her and pay her dust.
