Silk Sonic Join Fortnite in First-of-its-Kind Partnership

Silk Sonic continues to pour out exciting new components of their ‘An Evening with Silk Sonic’ album campaign.

And this time it’s in partnership with the smash-hit game, Fortnite.

Fresh from announcing their new Las Vegas residency, Bruno Mars and Anderson. Paak have lifted the lid on the latest venture in their soulful universe.

Today, a multi-layered integration of Silk Sonic on Fortnite was unveiled.

The pair will serve as the central acts on ‘Icon Radio.’ From today, players can turn on the new station inside cars and listen to songs from ‘An Evening with Silk Sonic with Bootsy Collins as the radio host. What’s more, the station will also feature other much-loved music from both Bruno and Anderson’s solo catalogs.

Still to come on February 11 is the official ‘Silk Sonic Set’ Outfits. This will allow players to pick either Bruno or Anderson as their in-game character style.

Furthermore, Fortnite fans will have the chance to get early access to the new Outfits and the duos’ signature Silk Sonic Spray by competing in the Silk Sonic Cup tournament (which launces February 7).

Both Bruno and Anderson are no strangers to Fornite and have been part of previous activations solo.

Speaking on Silk Sonic’s arrival, Bruno said:

“When Fortnite asked me if I wanted to create an outfit for the game, I asked, ‘Are CGI muscles off the table?’ They said ‘no.’ I said ‘deal.’ I’ll see you on the Island.”

Anderson added:

“When Fortnite agreed to give Bruno CGI muscles, I said, I’m in. He could use the help, so I support it. And it makes me cool. Win, win.”

Nate Nanzer, VP of Global Partnerships, Epic Games said of the deal:

“Bruno and Anderson are long-time Fortnite favorites, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Fortnite’s Icon Series. The Icon Series is a celebration of the most dynamic figures in culture — Silk Sonic’s entry will allow players to express themselves as the iconic duo with reactive signature style Outfits and accessories, and to discover new music through the new ‘Icon Radio’ station”
