Full story below…

Based on early predictions, ‘As It Was’ is set to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. If correct, the song will be his second chart-topper in the United States. Previously, he claimed the top spot with his ‘Fine Line’ single ‘Watermelon Sugar.’

Similarly, the former One Direction member is on course to top the charts in his home country of the UK. Per the Official Charts Company, ‘As It Was’ has more than double the chart sales of its closest competition. If it maintains its lead, it will also be his second chart-topper there. He scored his first #1 with his debut single, ‘Sign of the Times.’

Since its debut, ‘As It Was’ has been smashing streaming records. As we previously reported, it broke the record for the biggest single-day streaming record for a male artist when it earned 16.1 million streams on its first complete day of availability.

‘As It Was’ is the lead single from Styles’ upcoming third studio album ‘Harry’s Hours,’ which is due out on May 20.

The track isn’t bad but it sounds like background music for a Hallmark commercial. At least that’s the vibe it has for me.
