Watch: Christina Aguilera Wins Second Latin GRAMMY / Performs ‘Cuando Me De La Gana’ With Christian Nodal

Published: Friday 18th Nov 2022 by Rashad

With 7 nominations to her credit for work found aboard her latest Spanish album, ‘Aguilera,’ Pop diva Christina Aguilera entered the 2022 Latin GRAMMYs Thursday night (November 17) as a top contender for some of the night’s biggest honors including Album and Record of the Year.

Ultimately walking away with the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album honor, Christina – defeating Sin Bandera‘s ‘Frecuencia,’ Fonseca‘s ‘Viajante,’ Marta Gomez‘s ‘Filarmonico 20 Anos,’ and Kurt‘s ‘La Vida’ for the win – nabbed the second Latin GRAMMY of her career.  It comes over 20 years after her first triumph in the Best Female Pop Vocal Album for her inaugural Spanish-language release, 2000’s ‘Mi Reflejo.’

Accepting the new award wasn’t the only time Aguilera graced the stage at Las Vegas’ Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Thursday, however.

Look inside to see how she rocked the house with ‘Cuando Me De La Gana’ alongside Mexican hitmaker Christian Nodal.

A busy awards season for Xtina, the Latin GRAMMY win comes less than two months after she took to the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards to perform and be honored with the Spirit of Hope Award (established in 1996 in memory of the Queen of Tejano Music Selena Quintanilla).

… anyway in actually eventful news from the Latin Grammys, Liniker became the first openly trans winner, Rosalía won her second Album of the Year award, Ludmilla became the first female winner in the Samba/Pagoda category and Frauditta gave a lackluster performance after not winning a thing.

Christina’s voice sounds amazing on her album Aguilera. I can’t stop listening to her beautiful voice.

Bilengual queen! BTW: Also big thank you to whoever commented that Rosalia (SPAIN) and Ludmila (Brasil) won something, that’s nice. These girls are dope!
