Little Mix may be on a “hiatus,” but its members are far from inactive.

Indeed, the ladies of the chart-topping Pop ensemble have been making major moves behind the scenes as they map out their solo journeys.

And Perrie Edwards is the latest component of the group said to be on the cusp of a seismic power play.

Per a new report, the vocal powerhouse is “close to signing” with Columbia Records – home of artists such as Beyonce and Harry Styles.

On the heels of confirmation that the 29-year-old hit the studio, a source is quoted as saying:

“Perrie is super-talented and label execs think she could be a global star.

They are very keen to ink a deal soon and talks have been ongoing.

[She] is bursting with ideas for solo material.”

As previously reported, Perrie’s bandmates have each signed major label solo deals. Jade Thirwall onboarded RCA Records, while Leigh-Anne Pinnock joined Warner Records. 

Jesy Nelson, who left Little Mix a year before their break, initially signed with Polydor at Universal. However, just one single and 14 months later, she exited in 2022. 

Time will tell what Perrie’s plans are!
