Christened ‘The Woman In Me,’ the tell-all book will arrive on October 24.
Spears’ memoir was at the center of a fierce bidding war, with Gallery Books (a subsidiary of Simon & Schuster) emerging triumphant.
Promising a raw and unvarnished look into the layered life of the Pop icon, the sure-fire page-turner serves as the first all-encompassing account of the superstar’s life since the controversial conservatorship that governed her personal and professional existence for 13 years was terminated in December 2021.
A synopsis for the book read:
“The Woman in Me is a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.
For the first time her incredible journey (and) strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history. illuminates the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.”
