Ice Spice is keen to give Nicki Minaj her flowers.
The rising rapper has achieved success solo but has arguably leveled up most by way of her collaborations with the veteran femcee.
Indeed, just this week the pair earned another top 10 together with ‘Barbie World’ – which itself follows top 5 smash ‘Princess Diana.’
Currently in the UK for the Wireless Festival 2023, Ice Spice stopped by Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie.
During the visit, the 23-year-old opened up about working with Nicki, her regality, and learning from her.

“It’s so crazy working with Nicki because she’s, you know, the queen of course, and real particular about everything. And so like, but she’s so hard working and like I knew that already but meeting her in person just like completely reminded me of that, you know, like our video shoots would be like 10 plus hours.
Being around her, like, show me that you really got to like, hold your ground like you’ve really got to say no when it’s time to say no like, especially seeing how she just controlled the room. And like, people really listen to her.”
When quizzed about her upcoming plans, the New York City-born femcee teased her live plans:
“I’m going on tour with Doja Cat I’m really excited for that”
something about her voice that bothers me a lot. like so mellow, soft spoken.. Sounds like she just getting off from her bed and then was forced to mutter from her mouth.
I love her but I agree… it’s giving boring and authentic at the same time.

Ice Spice on Nicki Minaj becoming a mentor to her:
“She be telling me to learn from her mistakes – just watching her in general, if you pay close enough attention, you gonna see what you should do. I love to talk to her about things that I can’t talk about publicly – it just means so much to be able to have somebody like her”.
