Jazmine Sullivan is penciling yet another chapter in the success narrative of ‘Heaux Tales‘ – her award-winning 2021 comeback EP.
Not only is the set her highest-charting effort on the Billboard 200 to date, the critically acclaimed project is also home to the first Platinum single of her career – ‘Pick Up Your Feelings.’
Friday (July 7), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) took to press to announce ‘Tales’ had marked a personal milestone for Sullivan by becoming her second body of work to boast multiple Platinum-certified hits.

Nearly a year-and-a-half after ‘Girl Like Me,’ the H.E.R.-assisted single from ‘Tales,’ was certified Gold at the RIAA (meaning it had sold the equivalence of 500,000 units in the United States), the Bongo BytheWay-produced cut was elevated to Platinum status on July 7. The measure denotes sales of 1 million units in the same territory.
‘Girl,’ which peaked inside the top 10 of Billboard’s R&B chart at the height of its popularity, is the fifth tune of Sullivan’s career to achieve such RIAA honor and follows previously Platinum-certified hits ‘Need U Bad,’ ‘Bust Your Windows,’ ‘Pick Up Your Feelings,’ and the Bryson Tiller duet ‘Insecure.’
The certification ugprade of ‘Girl’ brings Jazmine’s cumulative digital single sales to 7 million Stateside.
