Katy Perry is hard at work on new material, but the Pop diva is taking a meticulous approach this go round.

The multi-Platinum maven’s last studio album was 2020’s ‘Smile,’ which didn’t set the charts ablaze in the way Perry’s previous material has.
During a promotional interview on Good Morning America for her Las Vegas residency ‘Play’ (which concludes in November), the songbird hatched an update on the status of her comeback effort:
“I haven’t put any new material out since my darling [daughter] Daisy. I think that I’m writing a lot and have written a lot from a place of love because I’m feeling so much of it — so much unconditional love, that love you never knew existed.”
Perry continued:
“I’m always writing, I have been, but I think what’s really important to me is to be celebrating the world that I’ve got to build with all of these wonderful songs and to be responsible for a life for a 3-year-old. I will be back, but let me get this right.”

I thought this. Country could be a safe bet too. She should stay away from anything leaning towards rnb. It’s cringe watching her try to dance/perform yikes
The sad part is Witness and Smile were great albums…All of Katy albums are solid and consistent just she chose the wrong singles and the promo wasn’t as stellar as the the others before them.
