Christina Aguilera is just full of surprises.
Hours after sending her beloved supporters, affectionately called #Fighters, into a frenzy with news she was heading back to the Vegas Strip for a “seductively intimate” residency, the ‘Genie in a Bottle’ singer rubbed her fans the right way with a report she may have a collaboration cooking with one of the year’s hottest female rappers: Latto.
Tuesday night (October 10), the ‘Put It On Da Floor‘ hitmaker put jaws on the floor when she and Xtina enjoyed a cute exchange on Twitter that suggested they have a duet in the works.
Despite sending their respective fan bases into overdrive with the inference, neither party followed up with specifics about what’s coming.
As we anxiously await an official announcement, we recognize the tease is a timely one as Latto and Xtina are reportedly working on their next studio albums – the follow-ups to 2022’s ‘777‘ and ‘Aguilera‘ respectively.
With Christina’s residency kicking off in December, however, news about her next project may be coming sooner than later.
