The nonperformance Jack Harlow‘s April-released album, ‘Jackman,’ and its singles may have cast doubt on his overall commercial viability, but the GRAMMY-nominated rapper has won music lovers over with his latest hit ‘Lovin On Me.’
Details inside.
Released November 10, ‘Lovin’ – which prominently samples the 1995-released hit ‘Whatever‘ by Cadillac Dale – drove onto the Hot 100 last week when it premiered at #2 as the top-selling and most-streamed new song.
This week, it’s ascended to the chart championship with equally impressive figures thanks in part to massive exposure from his halftime show performance at the NFL’s Lions vs. Packers game on Thanksgiving (November 23).
Here are the numbers that powered the updated placement.
- Streaming: 23.6 million U.S.-based streams
- Sales: 11,000 digital downloads
- Radio Airplay: 20.8 million audience
The figures above give Jack the third Hot 100-topper of his career following 2022’s ‘First Class‘ and 2021’s ‘Industry Baby‘ with Lil Nas X.
Already uniquely in Billboard history books for becoming only the second rapper to nab a top 10 hit every year this decade (behind Drake), Harlow now joins Drizzy, Doja Cat, Latto, and J. Cole as the only emcees to have #1 hits on the Hot 100 this year.
