I listened to the album last weekend. It starts off strong but kinda tails off as it progresses.

It’s refreshing to hear original Christmas music with a melancholy R&B twist….we tend to forget how Christmas can also be a very romantic holiday as well. Spread love with the one you love 😉 Brandy’s voice is like a fine wine. Her tone complements this track sooo well. Shes so intentional with her vocals. Thumbs up.

I agree production is drowning out her vocals. I had the same complaint about several songs on B7. I really wish she would get back in the studio with Rodney Jerkins. He knew how to produce her vocals perfectly, or even Timbaland or MikeWillMadeIt. One thing about Brandy she knows how to paint a picture with her vocals instead of just getting on a track screaming or doing a bunch of runs!
Look up Brandy singing in her bathroom. Prepare to be left in awe.
Brandy is deemed the vocal bible not because of her technical singing ability (she is bettered by many) but instead because of her musicianship i.e her ad-libs, style of runs and nuances. Its a stylistic thing not a technical thing.
