On the wings of 2022’s Hot 100-topping ‘Super Freaky Girl’ and 2023’s ‘Last Time I Saw You,’ rapstress Nicki Minaj lifted her long-awaited fifth LP ‘Pink Friday 2′ to chart battle on Friday (December 8).
Boasting guest appearances from Drake, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, and Future as well as production from big names like Finneas, ATL Jacob, Boi-1da, Murda Beatz, and others, the 22-track opus comes as Minaj’s first studio effort since ‘Queen’ conquered the Billboard 200 in 2018.
And despite an unconventional rollout devoid of the major promotional onslaught afforded its predecessor, ‘Pink Friday 2’ is still managing to prove the naysayers wrong who argued it lacked major buzz ahead of its arrival to digital shelves.
Not even 24 hours after its December 8 premiere, ‘Pink Friday 2’ was colored into the #1 spot on the Worldwide iTunes chart thanks to topping the respective real-time sales tallies of over 60 countries including United States, Australia, Portugal, New Zealand, Israel, United Arab Emirates, and more.

As if that’s not enough to boast, the project is also atop the global Apple Music real-time sales listing thanks to hitting #1 in over 55 countries including Kenya, Brazil, Ireland, Belize, Barbados, United Kingdom, and United States (to name a few).
In the latter territory, Minaj is currently dominating by occupying 14 of the top 20 spots with songs from ‘Pink Friday 2.’
The iTunes and Apple Music stats will undoubtedly bode well for the LP’s overall first-week commercial performance once streaming numbers are included.

I heard the majority of the album yesterday. My first time attempting to digest a full nicki album 😩.
I surprisingly think PF2 deserves a 7/10 considering I would rate Nicki herself a 6/10.
Idk why it’s being compared to a (9/10) RENAISSANCE on Twitter tho. While every song on B’day sounds like a 3rd and 4th single, every song on PF2 sounds like a flopped 6th or 7th single which is better than Filler music.
I atleast thought the worst of it was atleast OKay but the SINGING as expected was uncalled for and oh so corny as usual. 💯
