Viewership: 17.09 Million
Beyond boasting a slew of historic highs and unprecedented wins, the 66th annual edition of music’s biggest night drew a viewing audience slightly north of 17 million, its highest ratings since garnering 18.7 million in 2020.
The 2024 figure – which doesn’t include streaming from Paramount+ – represents a 36% increase from last year’s ceremony also hosted by Trevor Noah.

Anything without so much hip-hop/rap surely will make people glued to the television. Not everyone can relate to gangs, strip clubs, violence, underground 3rd world ghetto culture…I agree that limiting to the underground culture will make the audience interested in music and the show in general again.
I’m not saying hip-hop doesn’t have its own niche but the Grammy should cater to the general public.
