Speaking on CBS Mornings, which she appeared on to promote her ‘Strength of a Woman Festival,’ the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul seized the moment to wax candid about her journey in love.
The ‘Be Without You’ belter said:
“I’m able to be my own company because I believe in love for myself, I’m not going to give up on love. I’m not going to let a bad relationship or a bad marriage stop me from having a good life and having romance and getting the hugs that I want and the desire and kisses.”
When quizzed directly about whether she’s currently in love, MJB quipped:
“Yeah, I am!”
Blige, who overcame a roller coaster divorce with ex-husband Kendu Issacs, continued:
“I am in love. I believe I deserve a good relationship. With myself. With a partner. When you believe it, it comes to you.”
