Beyonce has reaffirmed her status as UK royalty with the arrival of her latest studio album, ‘Cowboy Carter.’

For, not only has the LP made history on the album tally, it’s seen Queen Bey cement her reign over on the singles count too.

Full story below…

On this week’s iteration of the Official UK Album Chart, ‘Cowboy Carter’ rides in at #1 with a whopping 40,000 copies sold first-week.

In doing so, it sees Beyonce become the first-ever Black artist to hit #1 with a Country album in the UK.

The wins continue because, with the project’s lead single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ climbing back to #1 on the Official UK Singles Chart, it sees the megastar score the coveted chart double (a simultaneous #1 album and #1 single).

It’s a feat she’s pulled off before, but one last achieved in 2003 with ‘Dangerously in Love’ and ‘Crazy in Love.’

The diva also makes history as the first artist ever to score the chart double with Country releases.

Elsewhere on the Official UK Singles Chart, the performer tallies three songs in total in the top 10. For, along with ‘Texas,’ her take on Dolly Parton‘s ‘Jolene’ launches at #8 and Miley Cyrus collaboration ‘II Most Wanted’ premieres at #9.

Bringing the Houston native’s UK top 10 singles tally to 24, the unprecedented feat adds a dynamic chapter to her top 10 stints with simultaneous entries. Before now, Beyonce scored multiple top 10s simultaneously on two separate occasions – in 2008 with ‘If I Were A Boy’ and ‘Listen’ and again in 2009 with ‘If I Were A Boy’ and ‘Single Ladies.’

Speaking on Beyonce’s record-breaking Official Chart touchdown, Martin Talbot, Chief Executive Officer, Official Charts says:

“In a career of huge achievements, congratulations to Beyonce on securing a slew of UK chart records with her country single and album this week, underlining her position as one of the world’s most ground-breaking musical artists.

With TEXAS HOLD ‘EM and COWBOY CARTER, she this week becomes the first artist to top the Official Singles Chart and Official Albums Chart with country repertoire simultaneously, and the first black artist ever to take a country album to Number 1 in the UK. Step aside (for now) Dolly, Bey is the *current* Queen of Country.”

More power to her!
