Beyonce’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ First-Week Prediction Revised UPWARD with Pure Sales Set to Outsell The ENTIRE Billboard 200 Combined

Published: Tuesday 2nd Apr 2024 by Rashad

In what came as no surprise, Beyonce‘s highly anticipated eighth studio album – the March 29-released ‘Cowboy Carter’ – was quickly forecasted to ride to the top of the Billboard 200 the week after its inaugural sales tracking completed.

Originally predicted to sell in the range of 350,000 copies its first week, the Country-flavored effort – which boasted features from the likes of Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and more was already on its way to blockbuster status before news of history-making streams at Spotify and Amazon Music were reported.

With those figures in tow, industry analysts took to press on Wednesday (April 2) to offer a revised prediction for the ‘Cowboy’ opening.

Details inside.

Beyonce’s ‘Act II: Cowboy Carter’

Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS):  405,000 units

Predicted First-Week Sales (Pure): 171,000 units

Billboard 200 Debut:  #1

According to HDD, ‘Cowboy’ is set to gallop to #1 on next week’s Billboard 200 on the back of total sales north of 400,000 with nearly half of that figure (42%) being comprised of pure sales.

If the pure sales prediction rings true, the 27-track project will have outsold the combined sales performance of the other 199 entries by itself.

If the overall prediction rings true, ‘Cowboy’ will make Bey the first artist in history to see her first eight studio albums top the all-genre chart.

Keep it locked to That Grape Juice for more on this story when the official Billboard announcement arrives on Sunday (April 7).

Cowboy Carter (in my dolly voice) This selling more than act 1. The queen❤️

It attracts more White fans. White people are more than Black people in US. It makes sense.

      • Kevin April 3, 2024

It’s selling more because it’s controversial (drummed up by Beyonces team behind the scenes) and people are curious. Renaissance didn’t have this much controversy and the lead single wasn’t that great.

I don’t think Beyoncé orchestrated the hatred from the opps.

I thought it would have been at least 500K for someone as big as her.
But 27 years into her career (if I count DC’s 1st album) : impressive.

    171k? Hmmmmm
    Rihanna’s Loud sold 238k first week 😂😂😂😂

    • Messy Bardi Gangsta April 3, 2024

And 5 years later, her anti album sold 460 copies first week. Keep it cute. They all fall victim to Father Time

    • judge star April 3, 2024

Loud was also released on the tail end of the physical copies era. There’s no comparison. CC sold 171k PURE SALES Rihanna could never do that today. Hell it took her 8 tries to get a #1 album. ALL 8 OF BEYONCES WENT #1.

    • What Would Lil Wayne Do April 3, 2024

Yes Rihanna did that loud did sales over 250,000 on, US Billboard 200 chart

I am happy that Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter is successful! I love Beyonce and her music. However I am very disappointed and quite shocked at how she rolled this album out. First of all the album dropped onMarch 29th! She should have dropped it in it’s entirety! Not make fans who don’t download music wait til April 17th to get their hands on the cd or vinyl! Then to make the cd and vinyl incomplete?!? Missing songs the download has?!? Really?!? Plus the vinYl and cd covers dont even have the title or cover art on the horse?!? You get a braided wig beyonce with a sash that says Bience?!? Really?! As i said i don’t download music. I never have. I’M OLD SCHOOL. I LIKE TO HOLD WHAT I PURCHASE. I WON’T BE HOLDING COWBOY CARTER IT SEEMS CAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR INCOMPLETE WORK.IF THE CD AND VINYL DO NOT HAVE SLL THE SONGS THAT THE DOWNLOAD HAS…WHATS THE POINT?!? IT’S A INCOMPLETE ALBUM AND A SLAP IN THE FACE TO FANS OF CD AND VINYL EVERYWHERE. SO AGAIN CONGRATS ON THE ALBUM ITS A SHAME ALL YOUR FANS WON’T BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE ENTIRE PROJECT.

    • #TheTruth April 3, 2024

They fu<ked up. They added songs at the last moment after the physical copies were pressed.
Also the cover says Beyincé (her mother's family name that was mispelled) because everyone assumes it was initially the album title.
No one was warned prior ordering and they haven't released a statement or something. Not fair.

Also just a F.Y.I. Music videos are still a popular thing. Not only does it allow the viewer to see the artst in action but it adds layers to a song that the music alone does not. Plus ya know it kinda increases sales of your project… not that Beyonce needs that right🤔🤨

  10. Keith April 3, 2024

Congratulations to Beyonce and team for defying naysayers (including sometimes myself). Still waiting on a DC3 (or DC5) reunion album, tho…

  11. Hoodonce April 3, 2024

Fat whales was saying the first week sales will be < 1M. hahhahahahahah where is your delusional fat ass at now?

    • Reba April 3, 2024
