Nearly 15 years separate fans of Keri Hilson from her last album, 2010’s ‘No Boys Allowed,’ but the wait for a new body of work finally came to a close on Friday (April 18) with the long-awaited release of ‘We Need to Talk: Love.’
Delivered after years of false starts, personal struggles, and professional setbacks, Hilson unlocked news about the LP just a month ago before quickly following with its lead single ‘Bae.’
Having already given anxious fans a preview of five of the project’s songs, now the 42-year-old is giving them a listen in full to the 9-song opus.

‘Weigh me down’ is nice. ‘say that’ is the best song on the album in my opinion. I had higher hopes for ‘somethin bout you’ but she does hit some crazy notes on that one.
It is pretty solid. Definitely no skip for me. Scream, searching & whatever are highlights.
“We Need to Talk: LOVE” is a solid & classy album. I love it ♥
I think it belongs to a few more albums/EPs.
She said on Insta “Scene 1 Friday” (today) and that “:LOVE” on the album tittle makes me think there will be more music to come. I wish!
She said the album is in trilogy format. Love is part 1.
OK. I’ve just watch her telling on KTLA 5 🤯
Part I is called LOVE
Part II is DRAMA
Part III is REDEMPTION 😍
Definitely a solid album 👌
I’m going to spin it on repeat just because she deserves to get back on the charts.
Yes Keri!
And that’s what we call a cohesive album, some should take notes 🖋️. Wondering about the flavor of the next parts of it.
I expected more tbh
Something bout you is a hit
The mix is off on some of them , like they were recorded through a wall. Weigh me down is fire tho
