Spike Lee and Denzel Washington reunited for ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ – their fifth film outing.
A contemporary reimaginging of Akira Kurosawa’s crime thriller ‘High and Low,’ the A24 film follows a leading music mogul (played by Washington), who is widely known as having the “best ears in the business.”
His world is flipped upside down when he is targeted with a ransom plot and becomes embroiled in a life-or-death dilemma.
Set on the hard-knock streets of contemporary New York City, the movie also stars ASAP Rocky, Jeffrey Wright, and Ilfenesh Hadera.

‘Highest 2 Lowest’ will premiere in US theaters on August 22, before being made available on Apple TV+ on September 5.
