Donald Trump is no stranger to ruffling the wings of Beyonce fans (affectionately called the #Beyhive) over the years, but he sent them into overdrive over the weekend after doubling down on his belief she should be prosecuted for her endorsement of 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Among Bey’s more headline-grabbing supporters taking Trump to task was Civil Rights activist and media personality Al Sharpton.

Taking to TMZ Live this week, Sharpton blasted Trump for suggesting he – as well as celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Beyonce – accepted payment for their endorsements of Harris’ 2024 bid for presidency. This, despite Beyonce’s mother previously clarifying the ‘Single Ladies‘ diva was not paid a single dollar for her support of Kamala.
While Winfrey and Bey have yet to publicly respond to the President’s latest accusations, Al not only clapped back but asserted Trump’s allegations were racially motivated and a desperate attempt to deflect from delivering the highly sought “Jeffrey Epstein files.”
“He went to the race card,” Sharpton shared while using the White House’s latest moves against Martin Luther King Jr. and former president Barack Obama as support for his argument. “…[Trump] came with Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, and [myself] were paid to endorse Kamala Harris’ campaign. [He said] Kamala Harris needs to be investigated and they need to be investigated.”
And though Obama, Winfrey, and Beyonce have remained quiet about Trump’s latest rounds of insults and calls for their prosecution so far, Al’s made clear he won’t be silent and is considering making legal moves (up to suing for defamation) to silence the President.
