Perrie Edwards has emotionally opened up about suffering a miscarriage at 6 months pregnant.
Full story below…
Appearing on the We Need to Talk podcast with Paul C. Brunson, the Little Mix alum candidly shared how she and partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain lost a child at 24 weeks.
Speaking for the first time on the harrowing experience, Edwards revealed that she was pregnant throughout her band’s swansong, the Confetti Tour in 2021.
Throughout the trek, she said, she noted bleeding that worried her (having lost a child earlier in their relationship ahead of welcoming their son Axel). Nonetheless, she pressed on and was delighted to learn that she was still with child, despite the hurdles.
Shortly after the tour’s conclusion, following a holiday to Portugal, she learned that she had miscarried. Speaking with tears, she told Brunson:
“I remember sobbing. I couldn’t see straight. I was just distraught. We basically lost the baby at, like, 24 weeks.”
