Kevin McCall may already be on the sh-tlist of Chris Brown fans (affectionately called #TeamBreezy) for insinuating the ‘Loyal‘ hitmaker is partly to blame for his current financial woes, but the singer-songwriter-rapper has unwrapped even more criticism from some of R&B’s most loyal fanbases due to stinging commentary about who among today’s divas can “truly sing.”

Though his time at the ‘Back on Figg‘ podcast was overshadowed by the now-viral clip of him breaking down in tears for “being on EBT,” another clip from the interview that’s got people talking is McCall weighing in on who he deems true vocalists.
“Patti [LaBelle] can’t sing,” he shared before running down a list of names of who he believes are non-singers. “Mary J. Blige can’t sing, Keyshia Cole can’t sing, Keith Sweat can’t sing, Alicia Keys cannot sing and is pitch/tone deaf…”
Despite claiming he’s still “a fan” of the aforementioned, the list left the podcast hosts shocked and wondering whose vocals did earn his approval.
“T-Pain can sing without autotune, Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, Monica,” he declared before crowning B-Rocka his favorite of the bunch. “Mario – he corny – but he can sing.”
Ouch!
His commentary not only earned jeers among social media commenters but also sent his name trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Wednesday (October 22) – only adding to the mixed responses he already receiving for his “EBT” breakdown.

Leave Patti out of that! Keyshia is my girl but she’s definitely not consistent I’ve seen her do good live but yea she’s definitely inconsistent. Everyone else he had right lol however no Mary J shade she has too many hits leave her alone we’ll just say her voice is unique lol.
No no no Alicia might hit a lot of flat notes for singing out of range but a tone deaf person would not be a successful songwriter behind hits playing the piano. He sounds crazy and pressed

Aretha said Alicia was a talented WRITER… I agree with Retha! Mary can sing better than her and Keyshia. She’s not Whitney of course BUT Mary can hold a lil tune. Brandy is my FAV and he’s right about her, she doesn’t need to do a whistle or have 5 octaves to be a TALENTED singer.
