According to Official Charts, the triumph makes Minogue the first female artist to score UK #1 singles across four different decades. She now joins elite company alongside Elvis Presley, Elton John, and Queen, while surpassing the likes of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Lady Gaga.
The festive win also marks her first UK #1 single since 2003’s ‘Slow’ and her first ever solo credited Christmas chart topper. It follows a huge week of fan-driven sales, vinyl purchases, and streaming support.
Speaking to Official Charts, the Australian star gushed:
“It’s hard to put into words how special this feels. Being Christmas Number 1 really is the most wonderful gift!”
The announcement was trumpeted live on BBC Radio 1, capping off one of the most celebrated chart moments of the year.
