Move over Shaboozey and Lil Nas X; Billboard Queen Mariah Carey has reclaimed the Hot 100 crown!
Six years after ‘Old Town Road‘ broke Carey’s ‘One Sweet Day‘ record for longest-reigning #1 hit at the time, she’s since galloped back to the front of the race thanks to her perennial chart topper ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’

On Monday (December 15), Billboard reported ‘Christmas’ claimed its 20th week at #1 on the Hot 100 – the first for any song in the tally’s 67-year history.
Leaving Shaboozey’s ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)‘ and LNX’s ‘Road’ in her rear view (both remain tied at 19 weeks), Carey’s holiday classic is now the longest-reigning hit to ever grace the all-genre chart.
Once the news landed on the diva’s desk, she rushed to Instagram to post a reaction (as seen above).
“Humbly taking back the torch!! 20 weeks at #1…I’m so grateful,” she told her 14.9 million followers (affectionately called #Lambs) on the platform.
That’s not all she said.
