It’s official; the road toward Nicki Minaj becoming a citizen of the United States has been fast-tracked thanks to the bestowment of the Trump Gold Card.

Launched in late 2025, the Gold card is an immigration program that expedites the process of lawful permanent residency for individuals “willing to make substantial financial contributions to the U.S. government” – a trek that helps them bypass traditional VISA requirements.

Minaj, who dominated headlines Tuesday morning (January 28) for pledging her allegiance and fandom to the President at his “Accounts Summit,” followed her stint by taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm she’s now the proud owner of a Gold Card.

“Welp,” she captioned the tweet to her 25.6 million followers on the platform while showing off a picture of the VISA.

Ahead of showing off her shiny new permanent residency status, Nicki – a native of Trinidad – took to the stage in Washington, D.C. to engage in a “fireside chat” with author and Trump’s senior advisor Alex Bruesewitz to discuss her immigration story, career, and so much more.

Before the conversation kicked off, however, Bruesewitz took a cheap shot at Minaj’s longtime nemesis Cardi B – particularly the time the ‘Outside‘ hitmaker spent campaigning for the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.

“The president was incredibly grateful for your presence,” he said before sharing, “You looked pretty good behind the Seal by the way. I must admit, your competition – which really isn’t competition – didn’t really look good behind the Seal when they were with Kamala Harris.”

Ouch!

Much like Alex during the fireside chat, the President took to press to admit he believes Nicki is the true and “undisputed Queen of Rap.”
