It only took a few seconds of audio to send social media into a frenzy.
Teddy Riley set timelines buzzing after sharing a snippet that sounded like a reworked version of Chris Brown’s ‘It Depends,’ this time featuring vocals from none other than R. Kelly.

The brief clip, which played like a casual phone call intro, quickly raised eyebrows and questions across the music world. Riley’s caption hinted that the teaser may be just the beginning. He boldly teased:
“Still the King of R&B Bar None!!!! Can’t wait for yall to hear the new music!!! Til then teaser missiles will be dropping!!! It’s about that time for real music!!! #legendary#letsgo.”

Brown appeared to cosign the moment with a few well-placed emojis in the comments.
The buzz aligns with past claims from Kelly himself, who has insisted that prison hasn’t slowed his creative output when he claimed last year on ‘Inmate Tea with A&P’ that:
“I’ve written, like, 25 albums since I been in here, and right now I’m just working on getting out…I’m using patience as a tactic right now.”
Kelly is still serving a 30-year sentence for racketeering, sex-trafficking, and three counts of production of child p*rnography.
