Chance The Rapper has scored a courtroom win in his long-running legal battle with former manager Pat “The Manager” Corcoran, but the outcome comes with an unexpected twist.

Full story below…

After years of back-and-forth, a jury has officially sided with the Chicago native, shutting down claims that he owed millions in unpaid commissions. Still, the final ruling has sparked conversation for one surprising reason.

Corcoran initially sued in 2020, alleging he was owed $3.8 million following their split.

The ‘No Problem’ performer fired back with a $1 million countersuit, accusing his former manager of misconduct.

Following a two-week trial, jurors found Corcoran failed to prove his claims. However, in a twist, the court awarded the rapper just $35 in damages on his countersuit.

“I claim victory in the name of the Lord.”

Despite the modest payout, the ruling effectively closes a years-long dispute that dates back to their working relationship from 2012 to 2020.

I’ll never understand artists like him. They have all the buzz in the world for a period, but never capitalize on it in 2016 ish he was highly anticipated but never dropped an album until years later it’s just like Normani
