Beyond dispelling rumors that he did not sustain injuries near his buttocks, Offset‘s kept pretty mum since the shocking news of his hospitalization following a shooting in Florida earlier this week.
That changed on Friday (April 10), however, when the former Migos star took to social media to thank fans for their support during his time of convalescence.

After wiping his Instagram page clean, Offset (born Kiari Cephus) uploaded a sole post – a “thank you” to his legion of supporters.
“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love! I’m good…but I’m planning to be better,” the post to his 23.8 million followers on the platform reads. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music…realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses.”
The note from Cephus echoes a sentiment previously released by his spokesperson.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses, and the entire hospital staff who took such great care of him,” the unnamed rep said in a statement to press.
At writing, local police have not announced a prime suspect in the shooting but did arrest rapper Lil Tjay (born Tione Jayden Merritt) in connection to the incident.
Released on bond a day after his apprehension, Merritt – who vehemently denied shooting Cephus – was not specifically named as the culprit but was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray.
