Over two decades after Chris Brown burst into the Billboard 200’s top 10 for the first time with his eponymous, 2005 debut album, the R&B bad boy is gearing up to raise a glass to yet another addition to his unbroken tally thanks to the May 8-released ‘Brown.’
Chris Brown’s ‘BROWN’
Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS): 77,000 units
Predicted Billboard 200 Debut: #5
According to forecasted figures provided by top industry analysts at HitsDailyDouble, ‘BROWN’ is set to debut at #5 on next week’s Billboard 200 with first-week sales slightly north of 77,000.
If the prediction rings true, the project – his 12th solo album – will mark his 13th consecutive studio effort to boast a top 10 debut (including his 2015 collaborative LP ‘Fan of a Fan‘ with Tyga which peaked at #7).
Home to warmly received singles ‘Holy Blindfold,’ Obvious,’ ‘Fallin’ (seen above), ‘It Depends,’ and ‘For the Moment,’ ‘BROWN’ may be on-pace to enter next week’s Billboard 200 with his highest debut since 2019’s chart-topping ‘INDIGO‘ but the critically polarizing project also marks the second lowest first-week sales of his career to date.
Its predecessor, 2023’s ‘11:11,’ still holds that personal title with its opening sum of 45,000 units sold.
Keep it locked to That Grape Juice for news on the final first-week ‘BROWN’ numbers once they are unveiled on Sunday (May 17).
