The GRAMMY winner took to X after a fan questioned why an artist who was selling out arenas just a few years ago appears to be facing a different reality in today’s music landscape.
And according to the singer, there isn’t one simple answer.

“Lizzo not having a fanbase is so weird to me when this woman was literally selling out arenas not even 2 years ago. Like, where did those people go?”
Lizzo responded directly, pointing to major changes within the music business as well as the intense scrutiny she has faced in recent years.
Writing candidly, she quipped:
“I actually can answer this: the industry changed so much in the last 3 yrs. Streaming replaced radio & I was a radio darling. That’s how my fans discovered my music. Not to mention the very obvious & public attack on my career changed things.
But I’m out here doing my absolute best and u can’t knock a bitch for that 🤎”
The remarks arrive as the singer continues promoting ‘B*TCH,’ her first full-length album release since 2022’s ‘Special,’ and weathering a turbulent chapter that included legal battles, public criticism, and more.

Lizzo is Lizzo’s biggest problem. I wish somebody in her circle would tell her. Ain’t you got no honest, don’t give a f***, tell it like it is cousins, or great aunties? I’m not a psychologist, but she seems to suffer from histrionic personality disorder. If she would stop forcing herself on us, just shut her mouth, and keep her fat, and her booty, and twerking, and tweeting, and crying, and insincere, attention-seeking, self-loathing to herself, and just make music, real music, and not gimmicky music, and stop willingly making a fool out of herself then she could possibly find herself back in the public’s good graces.
It was not her twerking or her showing her body. Her music just was not good.
