Trump returned to the rescheduled gala at the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC on July 24, three months after gunfire erupted outside the original event at the Washington Hilton.
While recounting the chaos, the president recalled attendees repeatedly being instructed to “get down” as Secret Service agents moved to protect him.
“Many people yelled, ‘Get down, get down,’ which caused Nicki Minaj to start twerking… She’s the only one that really understood what that meant.”
