The hit has now officially crossed a towering 2 billion streams on Spotify.
With the feat, the Dance-Pop anthem becomes the Bajan belle’s eighth song to hit the milestone, giving her more tracks above 2 billion streams than any other female artist.
Her elite list now includes ‘We Found Love,’ ‘This Is What You Came For,’ ‘Umbrella,’ ‘Love The Way You Lie,’ ‘Love On The Brain,’ ‘Stay,’ ‘Diamonds,’ and now ‘Only Girl.’
The milestone is all the more impressive given Rihanna’s prolonged absence from the album circuit.
Her last full-length release, ‘ANTI’, arrived back in 2016, yet her music continues to stream like she never left.
Earlier this year, the 38-year-old also made history when she became the first female artist to surpass 200 million certified singles in the US.
And while fans are still waiting on ‘R9’, there may finally be movement on that front too.
As reported, A$AP Rocky recently revealed that Rihanna is back in the studio.
Until the new era arrives, though, her classics are continuing to carry the crown with ease.
