Bullock Be joins Jonathan Daviss, who will take on the lead role as Snoop Dogg.
The casting is particularly fitting given Dr. Dre’s pivotal role in launching Snoop’s career. After hearing the then rising rapper’s demo, Dre enlisted him for several tracks on his landmark 1992 album ‘The Chronic,’ including the classic ‘Nuthin’ But ‘G’ Thang.’
Their creative partnership would continue with Dre producing Snoop’s game changing debut album, ‘Doggystyle.’
Directed by Craig Brewer, the film will chart Snoop’s journey from Long Beach hopeful to global superstar and will feature music from his expansive catalogue.
Bullock Be previously worked with Brewer on ‘Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist‘ and has also appeared in ‘BMF,’ ‘White Men Can’t Jump‘ and Marvel’s ‘Runaways.’
‘Snoop’ is set to arrive in the theatres August 6, 2027.
