After making Billboard history earlier this year with his Janet Jackson-inspired hit ‘Control,’ veteran R&B star Tank is finally lifting the lid on news about the chart-topping tune’s parent project: ‘Experience.’
The follow-up to 2022’s ‘R&B Money‘ (billed his “retirement album” at the time of its release), ‘Experience’ will mark his 11th solo studio effort and is slated to storm digital shelves later this month.
Heralding the LP’s arrival, the five-time GRAMMY nominee unleashed listens to two more of its tracks – ‘Highlight‘ and ‘How I Need You.’
While the former shines as a dancefloor-ready bop decorated with hints of House and EDM sounds, the latter leans into Gospel/Inspirational territory and sees Tank go back to his musical roots (bringing genre superstars Kirk Franklin, Zacardi Cortez, and Eric Dawkins along for the ride).
‘Highlight’ and ‘How I Need You’ join previously released tracks ‘Yes‘ and ‘Control‘ on the forthcoming, 16-track ‘Experience’ slated for a September 25 release.
