Lady GaGa has pulled the plug on the ‘Born This Way Ball Tour’.
Yes, after postponing a number of dates earlier this week, last night saw her cancel the rest of the sold out tour.

An official statement from Live Nation revealed:
“Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled. After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.”
Fulfilling sold out dates at the UK’s Twickenham Stadium (82,000 seats) and Hong Kong’s Asia World Arena, the show kicked off on April 27th 2012, in support of the stars #1 album, ‘Born This Way’- which debuted with first week sales of 1,108,000 copies upon its May 23d 2011 release.
Of course, while this marks bad news for any of her fans who’d purchased tickets for the cancelled dates, this does mean we may be receiving her third LP ‘ARTPOP’ far sooner than we expected.
This, if we’re being really honest marking the best news we’ve heard from GaGa in a while, considering the anticipation for this album exceeds the hype generated for ‘Born‘ before its own release.
So, while it’s a shame the tour has come to a premature end, its demise is a small price to pay for an era we’re sure will see GaGa reclaim her title as the thorn in many a Pop tart’s side with a look and sound far stronger (and broader) than her last.
An era, which packages ‘Born‘s ideas in ‘The Fame‘s wrapping paper to win back the ears of an audience turned off by what some might call an overbearing sound two years ago, without compromising her ideas.

I hope you’re not refering to BEYONCE with that shade because 100% her arena dates sold out in minutes and she’s about to do stadiums South America, Asia, 2nd American and European legs, and maybe Africa, due to pressure.
This is good and bad I guess, but good for someone like myself cause now we know more focus is going to go on making this music playboyy.
I need “The Fame” Gaga, the movement was just too much for Born This Way, for me anyway. Either way, i’m interested in what’s to come..

Get well soon Gaga – I wouldn’t get too excited about the possibility of this speeding up the new album release (that was a really sick thought TGJ!) as she won’t be in any fit state to promote it for a while, her injury must be serious for her to cancel the rest of the tour, she will be so upset about it as she hates disappointing her fans. Glad to see that even most people who don’t support her are sympathetic, there are plenty of singers I don’t like but I would never wish an injury on them or gloat if they got one. Really hope she makes a full recovery, this sounds like a bad injury for a dancer :o(
Health is the most important thing in life. This seems serious. Hope Gaga recovers soon and totally. It´s sad for the fans who won´t be able to see her but at least she´ll be forced to rest. 4 years on the road non stop and promoting and recording at the same time can´t be sane. She needs a break befor the new album

This is what she gets. She waited til her album was over before even going on tour. Then she plans a ridiculous tour EVERYONE said was overly ambitious. Then she starts the tour in the most ridiculous oversees places. Then she schedules way too many international dates in the same cities.
By the time she got to North America there was already talk about how the tour was crumbling. Lackluster sales in spots, an obviously exhausted Gaga, half-asses dancing and tones down routines, rumours of Gaga lipsynching for the first time just to get thru her shows. It’s sad, it’s pathetic, and it’s pitiful. The entire Born this Way era was messy and hit or miss and this is just the ribbon on the nail in the coffin for that era.
Also, It’s apparent Gaga’s team was hoping that delaying her tour would ride it into her next era like the Monsterball carried right into Born this Way. They were obviously hoping for the same buzz with this forumla but it blew up in their face. Gaga’s ego got the best of her. She just had to do the most ridiculous tour meanwhile Madonna is sipping tea and T with her 300 million showing why she is a legend and a supreme touring force. And to a world sick of Gaga… Get well soon.

Joint injury my ass, b**** has already made money from rt this tour, over $100 million, her US shows are a flop though and she doesn’t want to perform to empty seats. Try a different story.
I’m not convinced. This is what happens when people let their ego get the best of them. She should have toured in the US first and then gone abroad because what’s happened now is that she’s too exhausted to carry on.
Another problem is that BTW wasn’t the mega album she thought it would be and so the tour should have been scaled down after she had to sell some of the albums for 99 cents.
Gaga wants to be a big as Taylor and Adele but her music is a hot mess and her ego told her she could ditch the things that made her a star and now she’s feeling the shame and karma for all the shady stunts she’s pulled on people. Laurieann. Perez. Fusari. Christina and her ex boyfriend Luc Carl.
She likes to pretend that she’s a nice girl but her true colors are shining through and if she thinks we’ve forgotten about what she said about Adele’s weight she must be even crazier than i thought.

The Pop Girls better take this opportunity because I hate to say this because I’m a loyal Bey Stan, but none of the other girls can compare to GaGa, not Rihanna, not Katy, Beyonce only comes close but still falls short of GaGa when it comes to music, she gets the Critical Acclaim and Touring Force of Beyonce, with the Commercial Viability of Katy Perry and Rihanna.
