People give criticism to this music for other reason’s than not liking her type of music.
I think people have a problem with it especially because these artists aren’t what people consider ‘artists’ anymore.
They don’t play instruments, most of them can’t even sing on key, they don’t dance….they are often just something a group of people created. An image and nothing more. I think people have a problem because there are a lot of people out there that simply don’t think about anything else but a catchy hook and the shiny image of a “singer”.
If that’s what people like, than so-be it. But I think the criticisms of these artists are valid. People like Rihanna and Ke$ha seem so fake and manufactured….like a product.
Why be called a ‘singer’ if you can’t sing on key or carry a tune or your voice cracks? Why be called an artist if all you do is sing over electronica beats?
It’s not bad to like that music or these people, but it’s not fair to get upset when people think they’re music does not deserve to be number 1. Because remember, they are selling us music…..

Everybody in the US is really into uptempo pop songs right now. That’s probably why slower songs aren’t really doing anything. All I hear on the radio when I actually listen to it is the same type of music. That’s the reason why I hate the radio. There’s no “We Belong Together” on top of the charts anymore.
