Justin Timberlake‘s blockbuster success with ‘The 20/20 Experience’ has been rewarded with a whopping six nominations at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards it was announced moments ago.
The Pop maestro’s comeback effort, which hit stores in March (and sees a sequel unleashed this September), has nabbed the singer the most number of nominations at the 30th anniversary of the iconic show, which airs live from New York’s Barclays Center on August 25th. It’s an honor the 32-year-old shares with Hip-Pop stars Macklemore & Ryan Lewis whose success with hits such as ‘Thrift Shop’ and ‘Same Love’ have propelled them from little known hopefuls to global chart-toppers.

The MTV awards are getting so predictable! This industry is really all about politics. JT will win MOST of the awards for that boring album. It’s all a part of the hype to make him the biggest artist of the year. No surprise here! I won’t jump on the “Robin Thicke is better” bandwagon, but both of these guys seem to pretty much be in the same lane these days (JT is just getting the red carpet treatment everywhere he goes)… There’s honestly only about 3 decent tracks on JT’s album full of 2006 struggle, but people work wonders in the world of hype we live in… I’m not hating (because I have all his other cd’s). I still predict inflated sales of 20 million with these 2 albums from him come December and the exaggerated numbers of 100 million ww sales to follow with this “New King of Pop” promo he’s getting.
