It’s not over until it’s over.
Despite being axed by VH1 just last month, it appears ‘Single Ladies’ still has more tales to tell. For, it is being reported that the show will indeed return for a fourth season on a new network as part of a lucrative, multi-year, multi-show deal.

According to the LA Times, Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment company, which produces the hit show, is developing an all-new season as part of a new exclusive programming partnership with BET’s Centric. The acquisition is said to feature in channel’s broader aim of rebranding as the first network aimed at Black females.
More than just revival of the one show, Flavor Unit (who also produce current BET sitcom ‘Let’s Stay Together’) will create new shows for the network too.
Additionally, as part of the deal, Centric will start airing episodes of Latifah’s hit daytime talk show during prime time.
As at writing, though it’s understood that casting is already underway, it’s unknown which members of the show’s original line-up will be returning. On air for three successful seasons, the series was anchored by LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea and Denise Vasi – who replaced former lead Stacey Dash. Singer LeToya Luckett featured in what was billed as the show’s final season.

Exciting stuff! While ‘Single Ladies’ was largely a love it or hate it affair, it’s always awesome to see shows with more mileage given the chance to drive on.
Much like ‘The Game’ before it, it’s clear the series has a dedicated fanbase who’ll no doubt follow the show to its new home.

I believe that the reason why Vh1 had to axe it is because it wasn’t consistent in ratings….other themes besides love and separation could have been explored in this movie. When i realized that kiesha and Malcom storyline was similar to the “The Game” i lost all interest! i cant stand this back and forth of a relationship.
