Indeed, the Midwestern beauty has conquered many-a-platform in her rise to the top – a rise that has been fueled by no shortage of Grammy wins, critically acclaimed solo outings, and Broadway deliveries (including a recently announced venture on the revived “Jesus Christ Superstar” national tour).
But, as any winner will tell you, the process can include its fair share of falls and fails. A process Williams is no stranger to, the ‘We Break the Dawn’ diva recently took time to talk to TIME to break her silence on her career’s most “embarrassing moments”.

She is such a great sport. The trip down memory lane comes as part of Michelle’s recent endorsement deal with Playtex to encourage women to follow suit and relive their most embarrassing moments.
The funny feature comes just days after the singer announced plans to return to Broadway via a national tour of “Jesus Christ Superstar” as well as news that she will be joining Tye Tribbett for an OXYGEN reality show “Fix My Choir”.

Bullying can only be successful if you allow it to have power over you. Otherwise, in Michelle’s case it is just a bunch of MUCH LESS successful, MUCH LESS financially stable, and MUCH MORE unhappy people behind computers just talking because they are unhappy with their own life’s.! Y’all are letting the point TOTALLY go over your head. Michael has been in the industry for years and years coming on two decades (she was Monica’s backup singer before DC3) and any person can look back at their career and laugh at their “what was I thinking/doing” moments, whether it be in fashion, hair a performance, an incident. It’s called not taking yourself too seriously and being able to laugh. I’ve seen many, many, many famous people look back at “moments” of embarrassment in their careers.

Just calling a thing a thing! There is no hate or negativity in what I’m saying. Michelle wasn’t just speaking about her blessings (for God to be given any glory), she was trying to have people determine her self-worth by running down a list of all the material things she’s acquired. There wasn’t any need for someone like her to do that. Point blank! Leave that to the rappers who lose their money 3 years after earning it! Just because Michelle threw in that these things were blessings doesn’t take away from the true intention to speak on them. Mathew Knowles did his job REALLY well for a reporter to not even know who she is. It all looked so glamourous at the start, but the moment the band split Michelle became irrelevant. I don’t even think she’s even had one of her solo singles enter the Billboard Hot 100!
She slammed Farrah when she left because she was “Flying 1st class around the world and getting a pay check every month, and you’re tripping about your hair colour and a name?” 14 years after Farrah left Tenitra Williams still goes by the name, Michelle and nobody cares about her music!

It is you, Michelle, who’s the real idiot to have swapped your unusual 1st name for your common, forgettable middle name, thus joining the millions of women around the English speaking world with the names Michelle Williams.
