FOX‘s freshman smash ‘Empire’ is the show on everyone’s lips…and for good reason.
The music-drama serves up a potent package of sass, drama, glamor, and jaw-dropping storylines revolving around the Lyon family – anchored by Luscious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).

I want to know why Terrence wasn’t the first choice for playing Lucious.
I mean, the role feats him like a glove. He’s the perfect balance between ghetto and fabulous, he is nonchalant and slick a la Jay-Z, and he is used to play the passive douchey playa (The Best Man, Crash)
Now about Taraji, Lord, I couldn’t be more proud of her, now that’s a role of a lifetime. Mo’Nique could never with her angry self.

I LOVE this show! It’s the only show I have to watch live when it airs. I DVR all the other shows I like and watch later. The story is addictive, the writing is top notch and the actors are amazing. Terrence plays the mess out of the biggest boss and d***** EVER in Lucious, Taraji is AMAZING as the sassy and as real they come chick from round the way in Cookie, Jussie is top notch as the talented and strong-willed Jamal, Hakeem a/k/a Bryshere Y. Gray is great as a rich, wannabe thug rapper with older women fetishes and Trai Byers, who plays Andre is beyond words as the mentally disturbed businessman and eldest Lyon son. The best supporting actor in a drama series Emmy should be awarded to no one else but HIM! The rest of the supporting cast and guest stars have been good as well. I cannot wait for the season finale next week. I will be unavailable to anyone who tries to contact me between 8 – 10 pm next Wednesday night.
