R&B royalty Mary J. Blige is set to expand her empire with a new sunglasses line. Named ‘Melodies by MJB’, the shades are set to hit retailers before the year is out. Peep Blige and her new artist Starshell modelling them above, in the line’s first promo shot.
It’s great to see certain stars not following trends (see: celebrity fragrances only), and instead also drawing up original ways of expanding their brand. Go Mary.

You know as I was reading the little article that TGJ wrote I wondered why it was neccessary for them to bold and underline the word “only”. Then I read your comment and I had to LOL!!! Dang!! They underlined AND bolded the word “only” meaning “not just that” and you still missed it?? Who’s the failure now?? : /

Yay Mary! I’ve heard rumors about other celebrities doing sunglasses, but she actually did it. Her artist Starshell is cute but not sure if I really love her, listened to her song thought it was ok. Mary is not a follower of anyone’s trend, not in music and definitely not in fashion, she sets trends–period !!
The ad is HORRIBLE & so not creative, but good luck with those sun glasses!
